Requirements / Limitations by Law

Any Offshore company has to maintain a registered office in the Free Zone and appoint an
approved registered agent. A registered agent’s office in Dubai or in the free zone can also
be used as the registered office. The Company will not be allowed to carry on business with
people who are resident in the UAE or carry out any trade in the free zone or in the UAE,
unless they have first obtained the appropriate license from the relevant competent authority.

Objectives of Offshore Company registration in UAE:

1) To own, sell and deal in all free hold properties in U.A.E.
2) To own property outside UAE.
3) To make investment in Companies, Factories and Establishments.
4) To deal in the International General Trading of Goods however without
entering into partnership with any UAE resident.

Note: Investor’s physical presence is not required here even at the time of registration if s/he executes a
power of attorney in favor of the registered agent duly attested and legalized by UAE
Consulate in home country for the incorporation of the company.

Required Documents for INDIVIDUAL APPLICANTs are:

1. Applicants personal profile (short C.V)
2. Passport Copy
3. Bank Reference from any bank from anywhere in the world (A letter from a bank stating that you have account with it and knows you for a period of time)
4. Proof of residence of anywhere in the world. (Any utility bill like telephone, water & electricity
etc. to prove your residence).
